The Role
Essentially this role is required to provide management and leadership for the maintenance / improvement engineers on a day-to-day basis. The Maintenance Team Leader will participate fully in area improvement plans relating to quality, cost and safety. They will also be responsible for controlling all repair and maintenance budgets for the area. Furthermore they will be responsible for identifying and delivering improvements to the overall area maintenance strategy.
The main customers in this role are production, the engineering projects team and the Operational Leadership Team (OLT).
· Responsible for delivering line OEE through proactive engineering maintenance
· Maintain gross margin by controlling R&M spend
· Continuously improve and deliver maintenance strategy
· Constantly appraise and address training and development needs of team
· Lead engineering training of production teams
· Responsibility for teams compliance with company and statutory health and safety requirements
Skills & Experience
· Degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent
· Team leadership experience essential
· IT literate
· Positive and results driven (KPI orientated)
· Strong improvement focus
· Flexible to travel, if required
· Able to focus on achievement and ability to work in a direct and often pressurised environment are essential.
· Entrepreneurial skills in terms of innovation and problem solving are key along with tenacity, tough-mindedness and ability to influence and demonstrate strong team working abilities and commitment.
